About The Goualougo Triangle Ape Project
The Goualougo Triangle Ape Project is directed by its co-founders David Morgan and Crickette Sanz. We work to foster a world in which apes and their ecosystems thrive in perpetuity and future generations are inspired to preserve them.

What Are We Doing in the Goualougo Triangle?
For more than two decades, the Goualougo Triangle Ape Project has been a fixture in the Republic of Congo, immersing researchers in a pristine jungle environment where great ape research isn’t just a job—it’s a way of life, an interconnected web of community, science, and conservation.

Making Connections from the Congo to Chicago
Although nearly 7,000 miles physically separate the Goualougo Triangle and Chicago, there are numerous threads tying the two locations together. The hard work of field scientists, research assistants, and trackers in the Congolese park is complemented and built upon by their colleagues here at Lincoln Park Zoo.
